Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Naseem macOS application ("Naseem", "the app"), published by Ayman Hamed ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Naseem you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. License

Naseem is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Macs you own or control:

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or provide the app as a hosted service, and you may not reverse-engineer it except where law permits.

2. Bring your own key

Naseem connects to AI providers using credentials you supply (API keys or accounts for cloud providers) or models running locally on your Mac. You are responsible for those accounts: their fees, their quotas, and your compliance with each provider's own terms. We are not a party to your provider relationships and never bill you for model usage.

3. The agent acts on your Mac — you are the safety boundary

Naseem's purpose is to let an AI agent do real work on your computer: run terminal commands, read and write files, automate apps, and drive the iOS Simulator. Consequential actions ask for your approval first, and features such as autonomous mode relax that gate only when you enable them. You are responsible for the actions you approve or configure the agent to take autonomously, and for keeping backups of important data. AI models can make mistakes; review what the agent does, especially in valuable projects.

4. AI output

Content generated by AI models (text, code, files) is produced by the model you selected. We make no promises about its accuracy, quality, or fitness for any purpose, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it. Rights in generated output, to the extent we hold any, are yours.

5. Purchases and refunds

Pro licenses are sold through Gumroad. Purchases, receipts, VAT, and refunds are handled per Gumroad's checkout terms. If something is broken for you, contact us first — we would rather fix it.

6. Privacy

Naseem is local-first and sends no telemetry. Your conversations, memory, and files stay on your Mac except what you choose to send to your AI providers. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Updates

The app checks for signed updates via Sparkle and installs them only with your consent. We may add, change, or retire features over time; Pro remains a perpetual license to the app you bought, including the updates we ship to it.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

Naseem is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including data loss, lost profits, or costs incurred with your AI providers — arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

10. Termination

These Terms end automatically if you breach them; on termination you must stop using the app. Sections 4, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Changes and contact
